
RMC Overland Xpedition (OX) is an off-road training course designed to continue teaching students that have successfully completed LeadDriver and are ready to take on the next challenge, Overland Expeditions in Non-Standard Commercial Vehicles (NSCV). LeadDriver OX is a multi-day overland expedition course that teach students the basics about driving NSCV’s in an austere environment, while learning how to conduct daily Pre & Post Operation mechanical checks, in-field troubleshooting & preventative maintenance, and multiple recovery methods. In additions, students are required to logistically plan for essential gear, fuel, food, navigation, logistically support, and communications. Located in Western Arizona the course can cover from 500- 750 miles, depending on requirements, in 5 days of scenic, but brutal Sonoran Desert Landscapes traversing elevations from 750 ft to as high as 7,500 ft. in the pines.

The course focuses on basic to intermediate level NSCV off-road diving techniques in austere environments, overland / long-range logistical planning, basic-advanced land navigation using MGRS, Lat/Long, and UTM coordinates, logistical support considerations, vehicle trouble shooting, on trail repair & maintenance, technical driving, cache recovery, advanced recovery techniques & towing, night driving, and advanced tactical mobility methods.
